Retarder
Retarder is an additive that reduces the hydration speed and heat of hydration of cement or gypsum and prolongs the setting time.
The purpose of adding retarder in concrete is to prolong the hydration and hardening time of cement, so that fresh concrete can maintain plasticity for a long time, thereby adjusting the setting time of fresh concrete.
Hardening effect
(1) Influence on the strength. Excessive mixing will cause the concrete to not solidify for 24 hours or even 72 hours, thus affecting the need for early strength of the concrete and delaying the construction progress. No obvious effect has been found on age-appropriate concrete.
(2) The effect on shrinkage has no obvious effect on shrinkage when used in an appropriate amount. Excessive use will cause dry cracking and shrinkage of the top concrete due to excessive water evaporation and shrinkage cracks.
(3) Influence of frost resistance durability, the frost resistance durability of concrete mixed with retarder is similar to that without it.
Product Categories

That’s the introduction of retarder.
